Ivorian mangoes finally reach Europe

Launched on 12 April in worrying conditions, due in particular to the disruption of logistics chains, the campaign of the Ivorian mango sector could finally avoid the worst: after weeks of waiting, the first ships loaded with Ivorian fruit arrived last week in the Netherlands, reported the specialized site Commodafrica. Better still, the opportunities for Ivorian mangoes on the European market could be strengthened, as the production from Peru - a major supplier to the Old Continent - has still not reached Europe, « which offers opportunities for mangoes from Côte d’Ivoire, » explained a Dutch importer quoted in the aforementioned media. The Ivorian mango season usually lasts one month and a month, followed by those of other West African countries, notably Mali and Senegal.
