Acknowledging the sharp rise in global demand for hydro-alcoholic hand solutions caused by the global Covid-19 epidemic, the South African petrochemical group Sasol, which supplies the chemical solvents needed to make the disinfectant, has launched a new range of alcohol-based chemicals (ethanol, isopropanol) to supply manufacturers offering this type of item.
