Zimbabwe’s mining sector to restart its activities

Announced on 19 April by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, the extension of the containment measures until 3 May in Zimbabwe will no longer apply to the mining sector, which has been authorised to resume its activities, albeit with strict control measures. The decision is seen as good news for the main operators in the Zimbabwean sector, including subsidiaries of the giants Impala Platinum Holdings and Anglo American Platinum.
